Abakh Hoja Tomb
Ikparhan, better known as Xiang Fei (Fragrant Consort). In 1759 she led Uyghurs in an abortive revolt against the Qing emperor Qian Long, and was then taken off to Beijing as an imperial concubine. There, says the legend, the emperor fell madly in love with her. Two years later, while he was out of town, his mother the empress dowager ordered Xian Fei to commit suicide, which she did. |
